It All Started With a Pea Plant...

After a hard days work in the garden, I sat on the edge of my bed after a nice refreshing shower and realized something: we as humans are entirely displaced from nature and the world around us and we intend it to be that way. If a pea plant were to be growing in my room up from the carpet it would be unseemly. To have anything growing naturally in ones home that is not contained intentionally in pots is considered unseemly. If we have anything of the outside world invade our homes like ants, spiders, moths, or mice we call exterminators to force them out of our space. For most of our lives our feet never regularly touch the grass. We walk on carpet, tile, linoleum, or some other type of flooring. We don't live in a world where our days are measured by sunlight. We have incandescent, led, and halogen light bulbs that shine down their rays upon us into the early morning ours. We have taken almost every natural element within nature right down to reproduction and warped it to fit within our own schema of existence based on convenience. The realization of the extent of it is sickening.
